Silver Chef Announces Flood Relief for Qld Clients

Leading Brisbane based equipment financier Silver Chef Ltd today announced assistance measures for customers affected by regional Queensland flood crisis.CEO Charles Gregory said a small percentage of the company's customers were in flood affected regions and represented less than 4 percent of the company's overall revenues. Affected hospitality division customers have been automatically granted up to two weeks rental relief, with further relief to be considered for those experiencing dire circumstances. The cost of these rental relief measures would not be material to the group.Mr Gregory said Silver Chef would also give four weeks rental relief on new contracts issued to existing or new customers in flood affected areas across both its hospitality and GoGetta divisions to assist those needing new equipment to re-establish their businesses,""We are a Queensland company working with small to medium sized businesses and we understand the economic and personal difficulties faced, by small business operators in particular, when natural disasters strike," Mr Gregory said,""We would like to express our support for regional Queensland during this difficult time. Silver Chef is doing what it can to provide practical assistance to those whose lives and livelihoods have been severely disrupted by these floods. We will be doing everything we can to assist our customers during the floods and over the coming weeks as they re-open their businesses, and on an ongoing basis,""Mr Gregory said that Silver Chef had over 200 customers affected by flooding in southern and central Queensland in areas including Rockhampton, Emerald, Bunderberg, Yeppoon, Maryborough, Condamine, St George and Toowoomba. Businesses included hotels, cafes and takeaways.
