Quirky Cafes, Whimsical Bakeries & Bizarre Restaurants
https://uploads.prod01.sydney.platformos.com/instances/647/assets/modules/homepage/images/blog/Once_upon_atime1_1.png?updated=1733904417Sometimes it's hard to stand out in the crowd. For others, they just shine. It's strange to see 2 cafes side by side. One's packed with people queuing out the doors, while the one next door seems like a ghost town.
So why the big difference between the 2 cafes?
So why is one Jammed packed, while the is like a vacant lot? Is the food that much better? Or... Are they Serving the perfect Cappuccino? Or... Are the staff just so amazing you just want to hang out with them? Maybe these play a role in customers, coming but it's not the only reason. So if it's your local, then you have your reasons going to that Cafe, Bakery or Restaurant. If you travel around Sydney like I do, then you have probably noticed this phenomenon of the busy & quiet Cafe. It's puzzling to guess, why one is popular & the other is unknown. So I thought we should dig a little deeper to see if we can gain any insights. I’m not saying this is only occurring in Sydney because I have noticed this happening from Margaret River, Claire Valley, Nambour, Daylesford and all points in between. When you’re travelling you don’t have the benefit of local knowledge, so either going to whip out your mobile & check out the Cafes in Tripadvisor, or you going to go on the feel of the place. There's seem to be a buzz a vibe attracting you or does just feel cold and lifeless. So this not about bagging out places, because these were started by people with a passion, cooking & serving delicious food. I don't believe for one moment these places opened because the owners had nothing better to do than open a cafe or restaurant. Running a Cafe, Bakery or Restaurant takes a lot effort, time & money to keep the doors open. So it's frustrating seeing some of these places just going through the motions. I'm sure when they dreamed of opening their unique food venture, they had big plans to Wow us with fantastic food & service. So either they're beaten down by an unappreciating market, or hazy & confusing vision or lack of execution, something is missing. Some of these cafes & restaurants Have grand plans with others were sadly just pale imitations of a good idea. We get excited every time we hear of a new Bakery Cafe or Restaurant opening. Because you might ask us to help you with supplying your Commercial Kitchen Equipment. But we rejoice when it grows & lives up your expectations rather than just limping by. There is no shortage of Cafe & Bakeries or Restaurants in Sydney or for that matter anywhere else. So it takes a lot of courage to open your doors & invite us in. So if you're going to do it. Be bold. I think we can safely assume that its a given you're going to have good food & deliver great service. So doing that is not enough, we already expect that. So you need to offer more. Let's be honest, I have eaten at places where it’s pack with people, the food was Ok, but it just felt right to be there. So if you're opening a Restaurant Bakery of Cafe, then you need to stand out from the crowd be different. We are tired of same old same old. We don’t just want to eat. We want to share an experience with friends & loved ones. Go on an adventure of discovery for a moment to escape our dreary lives. If you want us to come in or even better yet come back, be different. Dazzle us. Shine. Make it fun. Make us feel special. let me share some Quirky Cafes, whimsical bakeries & bizarre Restaurants I like going to. Not all them fall under these loose terms, but they are different They have personally. None these places would ever be called boring, tried or soulless.
