Bee Alarmed

Bees will be a topic of conversation at the Sydney International Food Festival.The alarming issue of the threat to Australia's European honey bees and the implications it has for the country's food security will be on the agenda at a special forum that was held in October as part of the Sydney International Food Festival.The CSIRO says if nothing is done to stop the immigration of the Asian bee - which first arrived in the country on board a yacht in Cairns in 2007 - it could spread across mainland Australia within ten or 20 years.Read full story at Hospitality Magazine
