Turbofan Convections Ovens

Baking in a Turbofan convection oven makes it easy to bake up quality consistent biscuits every time. Crunchy and delicious, Anzac biscuits made with oats are a lower GI alternative to many packet biscuits and are cheap to make. Containing coconut, golden syrup and butter, these biscuits do not use egg as a binding agent. Turbofan E31D4 Convection Oven

Ingredients

• 4 cups rolled oats • 4 cups flour • 4 cups coconut • 3 cups sugar • 500g butter • 8 tbsp golden syrup • 2 tsp baking soda • 4 tblsp boiling water

Method

• Turn Turbofan Convection Oven, select Convection mode, high fan speed and temperature 160°C. • Lightly grease oven trays. • Place oats, flour, coconut, sugar in big mixing bowl. • Melt butter and golden syrup in saucepan. Take off heat. • Mix baking soda and boiling water in a cup. • Add to melted butter mixture in the pan. Quickly add to big mixing bowl and mix well. • Roll table-spoonful's of the mixture into balls. Place on trays 5cm apart. Press lightly with fork. • Bake for 20 minutes. • Serve hot today on Anzac Day.
